 THANKS to everyone that attended the December meeting at Gino’s. We raised $ 1,117 for the scholarship fund through the ASWA basket raffle. BIG THANKS to Amie Bobst, Patrice Sayre & Denise Baldwin for organizing this great holiday event, members & companies that donated a basket and each of you that bid on the baskets. We had a fun time!

We are continuing to track guest attendance & are adding names to the drawing for a 

GIFT CARD! Please keep asking your co-workers, clients and other accounting associates to join us at an upcoming meeting. We have several great speakers lined up for the rest of the year.

The Des Moines Chapter of ASWA will be awarding Undergraduate and Master’s

SCHOLARSHIPS for the 2012-2013 school year. The scholarship application is available at http://www.desmoinesaswa.com/scholarships. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is February 1, 2012. If you or anyone you know is currently attending classes to earn a bachelor’s or masters degree, tell them about the scholarship we are offering. Members are welcome & encouraged to apply!
